The Commonwealth Transportation Board (CTB) in 2005 approved the location for this new 10.4-mile north-south parkway that would connect Manassas with the Dulles corridor. The project was originally called the Tri-County Parkway.
The southern-most portion of the Bi-County Parkway (approximately 5 miles of Pageland Lane) is part of the Manassas Battlefield Bypass project, which is separately included in the TPB's Constrained Long-Range Plan or CLRP (see separate project listing on this website).
The Bi-County Parkway forms the middle portion of the 45-mile North-South Corridor of Statewide Significance (see separate project listing on this website). The entire North-South corridor is not currently included in the CLRP.
